Nipple update regarding thrush...

Thank you to the many of you who were concerned with the pain that the thrush causes during my breast-feeding journey.

I wanted to share with you my updated nipple pictures so you can see the progress that the coconut oil has had on the light thrush infection that I was beginning to get. it looks as if it’s almost cleared up completely and in these pictures you can see the difference from where I had started to where they are now.

they are still a little red and irritated but as you can see most of that white flaky stuff has gone away and I believe that that was caused by the over growth of yeast on my nipples.

Women who get thrush on their nipples can also experience vaginal yeast infections as well as the baby can experience diaper rash or mouth thrush so always make sure to check with your pediatrician or doctor to get proper treatment if the baby develops mouth thrush or bad diaper rash that won’t heal with traditional home remedies. Coconut oil is safe to leave on the nipple area and allow the baby to continue breast-feeding without washing the nipple off first whearas some medications must be washed off before resuming Breastfeeding. Again I am not a doctor so please always get the advice of your doctor as well before you try anything new or to make sure that what you’re treating is in fact Thrush. Yeast can become resistant to medications so it is important that you are sure that you are treating a yeast infection or thrush before treating it with antifungal‘s or the antifungal will not work anymore as the yeast will become resistant to it and will be harder to fight off if and when it is truly a case of thrush.

Coconut oil is a natural remedy and a natural antifungal that can be used on skin regardless of a thrush infection or not so I like to always start with the homeopathic way first. in my opinion this is best not only for mommy but baby too. Coconut oil is safe to consume as well as safe to cook with and it is definitely something I would recommend having in your pantry whether you’re a breast-feeding mother or not! Make sure to get the organic 100% pure coconut oil.
