Aerosmith has always enjoyed making references to cunnilingus in their songs. I don't know what is considered the band's most famous song, since there are multiple candidates, but one of them "Walk This Way" contains the line "You ain't seen nothin' till you're down on a muffin then you're sure to be a-changin' your ways." A lot of their songs after their 80s comeback are also co-written by professional writers, but "I Don't Want to Miss a Thing" does have the distinction of not containing a credit for anyone in the band. I believe it's their lone number 1 hit too. I used to be a big fan back in the 90s and I did read that biography where Tyler discusses the relationship he is now in some legal trouble over. It was a pretty uncomfortable read because he clearly saw nothing wrong with it. The opposite really as it felt like a boast. I don't offer it as an excuse because the relationship was gross, but I feel like rock stars in the 70s got away with a lot of wretched business that they probably don't get away with now. Mostly because there are no more rock stars. Definitely a relatable episode for a lot of people, myself included. I was even in the role of Bobby, to a point, where I had an older girl showing interest in me when I was a freshman and she a senior in high school. It was really odd as she had been in a pretty serious relationship with a family friend so there was some baggage attached to her that really wasn't her fault or anything that truly bothered me, it just added to the awkwardness of an older individual showing interest. I was mostly oblivious to her advances and when we had a "couch moment," we'll call it, I was still in a state of disbelief. I basically just pulled away gradually over the course of the school year even though I did like her, but it was just too much too soon. It's still an uncomfortable thing to reflect on 25 years later.

Fantastic episode, probably my most favorite KotH episode, and it felt especially poignant as I just broke up about a week ago. I won’t share breakup details here because that just feels trashy, so instead I figured I’d share the after effects of the one eating contest I entered and the immediate (not puking thankfully) aftermath. I once entered an eating contest sponsored by Ben & Jerry’s to see who could eat a Vermonster (20 scoops of ice cream, 4 bananas, and a whole bunch of other things)- it was all for charity and I like ice cream right? I managed to keep the whole thing down and didn’t have any real problems until the next day, when I found out that all that freezing cold sugar had made my teeth extra sensitive to, everything. Drinking water was painful, chewing a slice of plain bread was painful. Anyway yeah I feel like eating contest parodies always focus on the puking aspect of it as opposed to all the other unpleasant side effects of eating way too much food at a singular time.

The steakhouse segment reminded me of a date I had forgotten about. In the early 90s I had taken out a goth girl who was a bit out of my league to dinner on the Lower East Side of NYC. Many restaurants were jammed so we wound up at BBQ, a place well known for their chicken. Knowing she was a vegetarian I asked if it was OK. She said yes. At the end of the night back at my place she turned cold. It was because of going to that restaurant. ME: "But I thought you said it was OK." Her reply: "I didn't know you were going to enjoy it so much."

bobby’s first kiss was connie in “plastic white female” right? like, this is his first kiss to him, but only because the connie one was so over his head. it’s funny to see the difference in reaction and bobby ending the episode unaware of connie’s intentions again

I just want to Add It’s really commendable a personal having Henry get during that sounds like this. It helped me reconnect to some powerful memories of my own and appreciate how much I have grown My first real break out was the winter right after high school Obama had just won And change was a coming It was actually the night he won I called my girlfriend and she said she had something to say three hours later on our three anniversary she broke up with me I don’t hold it against her and she apologized years later when we reconnected spontaneously But man, oh man, that was one of the dark experience of my life I also wrote the twilight books like Bob to see what the big deal was And if anybody’s read them when Bella gets dumped by Edward in the second book, you turn the pages and literally its just the word “November” *turn the page Then “December” The “January” That is what it was like, just blank pages of my life where I did nothing, and was just catatonic to the world
