Vote On The November 2022 What A Cartoon Movie!
Added 2022-10-01 17:47:20 +0000 UTC
Time to grab a light sweater and a pumpkin, because fall is here once more on the Talking Simpsons Network, with a bunch more podcasts coming your way. That's the regular Talking Simpsons, Talking Futurama, TalKing of the Hill, and What A Cartoon coming out alongside our once-a-month $10 premium podcast. (Plus in November new weekly installments of our Batman miniseries!)
Currently, we're so far ahead in podcast recordings that we've already recorded October's What A Cartoon Movie! (The Transformers The Movie), meaning that now we have time open on our schedule to record our November 2022 movie podcast, and we can start on that as soon as you choose the subject for us!
For those of you who are new to the Talking Simpsons Patreon, WELCOME. Also, you should know that once a month we release the What A Cartoon Movie! podcast, an extra-long discussion about an animated feature film, exclusively for our $10+ Patreon subscribers. And when we open up the voting for each month's subject, we want all the $5 subscribers to also have a chance to be heard, so those subscribers can help pick episodes they might enjoy down the line!
Our next 2022 poll covers is one more of our "Yes/No" polling because we want to continue our tradition of covering a feature-length holiday toon classic. Last year we did Rudolph, so now we want to start with the UPA adaptation of Charles Dickens that was the first ever TV Xmas special in the United States, Mister Magoo's Christmas Carol!
We expect you like us want more animation history, as well as equal parts history on Magoo and Dickens, but we (as always) want it to be the choice of our patrons. And so, as we've done in the past with these types of movie podcasts, we're leaving this up to you all as a yes or no option in our monthly poll. If you want us to cover Mister Magoo's Christmas Carol, vote "YES." And if you would prefer a different poll for the November's 2022 movie podcast, then vote "NO" and we'll do a different poll with four choices after that.
So please, make your choice known before the poll closes on the night of October 7! Thanks as always for your continued support of our many awesome podcasts, and we hope you enjoy whatever wins!

As a connoisseur of Christmas specials, it may come as a surprise to most that I really don't like this one. I recognize its contribution, I've seen it multiple times, and I'm happy to never revisit it again.

2022-10-03 20:30:43 +0000 UTCI'd love to see "Olive the Other Reindeer" one holiday season.

2022-10-03 07:39:53 +0000 UTCI agree that there should be more choices for a movie poll but I LOVE this film! It's my favorite version of A Xmas Carol & yes, I adore the songs. This is a triumph for everyone involved in this production especially Jim Backus.

2022-10-02 20:19:33 +0000 UTClet's just skip the vote. some months there just wont be a vote, who cares. it's all good content anyway!

2022-10-02 17:44:43 +0000 UTCI kinda want No to win...just to see what happens. I think this has been the closest Y/N poll we've had in a while, if ever.

2022-10-02 16:09:11 +0000 UTCalternatively, you're allowed to have breaks, and not record, lol. You guys work hard as it is, and I'm sure neither us or the people who listen on the free feed would be mad if a few weeks don't have any content due to real life.

2022-10-01 23:05:23 +0000 UTCHey all, we realize a yes/no poll isn't ideal a lot of the time, but this gives us more time to work ahead during a VERY busy time of the year. (We're actually recording the Transformers movie podcast almost a month before it goes live.) Both of us are traveling a lot for the rest of the year, and I may be making an international move, so having more breathing room lets us spend more time on making each episode great. Thanks for understanding!

2022-10-01 22:38:38 +0000 UTCI would appreciate additional options in the movie polls. The Y/N format feels biased and like we have no true voice. I understand the need to do content that engages you as the podcaster/presenter, but as a patron, this type of poll feels like the choice is take from us and thus superfluou.

2022-10-01 20:38:00 +0000 UTCI guess we might as well get this one out of the way so we wonβt have to hear about it in the future

2022-10-01 20:12:45 +0000 UTCIβd rather watch The Flintstones Christmas Carol

2022-10-01 20:11:17 +0000 UTCI'm all for Yes/No polls when the movie is big and important and either beloved or loathed by many. Mr. Magoo is not that. There's way more than 4 christmas movies, bring back the 4 choice polls.
2022-10-01 19:56:20 +0000 UTCIt would be better to do it closer to Season 15 because it's parodied in the Christmas episode...

2022-10-01 18:46:45 +0000 UTCI've always wondered this, and sometimes that curiosity alone even influences my voting, but unfortunately this time I love a good Christmas Carol adaptation and Mr. Magoo's is certainly one of them.

2022-10-01 18:40:25 +0000 UTCI am curious what happens if no would actually win. Generally these Y/N polls are favorable towards yes...so we never find out what a majority no results in

2022-10-01 18:26:32 +0000 UTCI prefer my repetitive adaptations of Xmas stories to feature singing frogs and Michael Caine π
