It's the end of the month once again, which means it's time for another episode of our community podcast! This time around, we discuss the season 33 premiere, the fate of Fox's prime-time animated lineup, new Simpsons shorts on Disney+, a Moe's Tavern pop-up in a non-fictional Springfield, and more! And, as always, we read and respond to your questions and comments from our most recent batch of episodes. So listen in and don't forget to join the navy!
The mention from Henry about Ring Fit got me to get back into it. Cheers!

California Extreme is actually happening in 2021 in a week or two.
Sounds like a shit show, since it isn't vax-only . Masks are supposed to be always on
First one in awhile I'm not going to

Rough Draft does roughly half of the episodes a season these days, with AKOM doing the other half.

On the topic of not knowing about "Adult" words as a child, I was once watching an episode of Friends where Joey pulls out his wallet and reveals a comical amount of condoms in it. I did not know what condoms were (but at this point, did know what sex was, vaguely anyway), and said I didn't get it. My sister's friend started to say something like "they're... candy" but my sister just kinda shook her head and said "don't" and I didn't press further.

It's true! When I gained access to Global and CityTV's streaming services a couple years ago, for a while I was confused as to why I couldn't watch new Simpsons on the Global site... until I discovered it was on City TV (aaaand now it's not)

I haven't had cable in forever and my apartment placement means I only get one OTA signal(CTV), but CityTV is not the nostalgic home for Simpsons in Canada. It always aired on Global. Well I can say for certain that was true for seasons 5 through 17ish which was my "I absolutely must watch each episode live" range. Global always had Fox's entire Sunday lineup from my memory. Married With Children, Family Guy, Futurama, all of it.
This article implies CityTV got it starting with season 30:

it's surreal watching the S33 premier, since now 99 was when they were in high school.

Sorry for being pedantic but I wanted to give the correct version of the Seinfeld thing. Jerry is excited about going on a blind date with a "Donna Chang" and the scene goes:
Jerry: "I love Chinese women."
Elaine: "Isn't that a little racist?"
Jerry: "If I LIKE their racist, how can that be racist?"
Cue audience laughing and clapping. Definitely insinuated that Jerry was speaking the truth there. Of course, the punchline (and the main plot of this episode) is it turns out Donna Chang is a white woman who keeps saying/doing things that mislead people into thinking she's Chinese. It's George's parents who think she must be full of wise advice because of this misunderstanding.

Two more Simpsons musical episodes:
"My Fair Laddy", a full-on My Fair Lady parody with Willie as Eliza Doolitte.
"Yokel Chords", a Sound of Music parody with Cletus' children as the Von Trapp children.
