The Lion King Will Be Our What A Cartoon Movie Episode for August 2021!

The results are in! Thanks to your votes, next month's episode of the What A Cartoon Movie podcast will be 1994's The Lion King, the final movie in our summer of the Disney Renaissance. Folks on the $5 level of our Patreon can hear the extended free preview of this podcast when it goes live on Monday, August 30, but $10 subscribers will be able to access the whole thing and also access our extensive back catalog of What A Cartoon Movie episodes.

and he absolutely didn't have to watch all of it, I watched several of the Kimba movies and sampled each of the tv shows when I first got really into Tezuka's stuff and that alone was enough to convince me the connections were completely exaggerated or straight up lies.

I heard Adam went on a huge binge of just watching all of Kimba for that video which is pretty wild. I think there's a story where he was at a convention with some friends and the whole time they were there he would just keep watching Kimba back at the hotel room for more research.

Hey Bob & Henry, just so you know (in case you didn't already), Adam from YourMovieSucks basically did an ultimate breakdown on why the wole "Kimba nd Simba" controversy is incorrect. So if you guys wanna save yourselves some work, can just plug that video in case some people haven't seen it, cause it's great.
