one quick notes about sailor moon airing in canada. Thoe the toys didn’t sell well in the US they did sell better in Canada and I feel that was probably the main reason they dubbed the last not so much the poptart campaigns episodes. Also the dumb triva fact that futre daily show corespondits samantha bee and jason jones where both in productions of a live sailor moon show in toronto

2021-06-26 15:51:06 +0000 UTCI’m pretty certain my introduction to Sailor Moon was on the USA network, and I think by nature of it being anime I was never worried that watching it was uncool even though I was a boy. As a kid I never noticed the Canadian accents but listening to the clips now I can definitely pick up on them. I tried watching the new dub and frankly it all just sounds wrong to me having grown up on the DiC version. A bunch of the actresses were going to be at my local comic convention in 2020 but then of course the pandemic happened, hopefully they can get them to come to the next one. (I want Susan Roman to tell me I look like her ex-boyfriend in her Lita voice).
