I was actually pleasantly surprised when Bobby piped up to correct them about the proper terms to use when referring to Indigenous people rather than "Indian," since Simpsons a few years later was still relying too heavily on dated jokes and stereotypes. I'm with you guys on this, I do think John Redcorn should've had a bigger role in this episode and the professor needed some more comeuppance, but I do think it's still a pretty solid episode.

That is correct.

“That’s not Dale’s mower” feels way too real to me.

Is this the one with "yeah they're breasts. Big deal!"?

The weird thing about the ending to me is absolutely nothing is resolved. Lerner still has dig permits. Though the dig seemed pretty fruitless, they found what, a ceramic bowl and a few arrowheads? Just some left behind items from a random family's house it seems like. I imagine it was probably over after another week of not finding anything.

Mr. Lerner isn't so smart; he should have tried climbing out of the side of the hole where Hank wasn't standing

My mom arrived to Houston from El Salvador in the 1980s (due to the civil war) and she always despised Mr. Bean ever since she got here. She would always say “Ese Mr. Bean me caye mal” whenever she see Rowan Atkinson on TV.

Bean and Houseguest = same movie. Though I'll take Houseguest every time. I wore out the VHS when I was a kid.

I have to agree with Bob on the PhDs thing; if I heard someone mention their "first" doctorate, implying willing resubmission to the grad school process, I'd assume they were some kind of monster. That doc ain't right.

I too saw Bean in the theater. As far as I can remember, it was the only time I saw a film in the theater with my grandmother, and she snuck out partway to see Eve's Bayou. It was the right choice.
