POLL: Should Talking Simpsons Return To Season 2?

We've got a special poll for all of our listeners, just in time for the 30th anniversary of The Simpsons' second season! In case you missed the newest Talk To The Audience community podcast, we have big plans for 2021. After our great success in returning to season one at the beginning of 2020, we've been considering a similar return to the second season once we're finished with season 11.

After revisiting season one earlier this year, we realized that Talking Simpsons can do so much more with these classic episodes than we did the first time we covered them. Since we first covered season 2 more than five years ago, we've learned a ton about these golden years of the show we didn't know when we started this podcast. Right now we're in the midst of the 30th anniversary of the season with the first Treehouse, the first Phil Hartman appearance, and so many other unforgettable moments. (And don’t worry—just like with the first season, the original podcasts covering season two will still be available in our back catalog.)

With your approval, we'd like to finish up season 11 at the end of this year, then start 2021 with a return to season 2, beginning with Bart Gets An "F". After we go through all twenty-two episodes of the 1990-1991 season, the Talking Simpsons podcast will then resume our chronological exploration of season 12.

Just as we did with season one, we think it'll be a very exciting and entertaining chance to revisit those episodes in a much more in-depth format with cool new guests and brand-new perspectives. Our original chats on these eps were only 30-45 minutes long, and these iconic episodes deserve so much more.
