The Amazing Spider-Man Reaction

Here's the only problem I have with this movie. It wasn't needed and nobody really wanted it. We already had a spider-man origin story with Toby. Spider-man 3 came out only 4-5 years prior to this movie. Why have a reboot already? The only reason I can think of is that Sony wanted to milk more money out of the character. Fast forward to Tom's Spider-man intro and Tony Stark even cut him off before he could even tell him how he became Spider-man. Cuz we've been told the story too many times already. Was it a good move? Sure. But it really wasn't needed or wanted.

I was bullied a little in high school (was very small for my age) and one thing I luckily learned while in high school that stopped me from being confused about why bullies like to...well bully and stopped me from growing up with more hatred in me is that almost all bullies are lashing out because they're trying to exert control over something because they have no control over the crappy home lives they have because of some form of abuse, neglect or other injustice put upon them. It's nearly always the case and not simply that someone is just "born bad." Looking at Flash at the beginning of this movie and it's easy for me to see this kid has got bad shit going on at home that he's covering up and over-compensating for. It is DEFINITELY not a justification, but understanding it helps to not being confused by it when they do shitty things. People with a lot of empathy tend to not try to put their own problems onto others, but some people are taught not to empathize. I was lucky enough to be told, in high school when I was a senior, by one guy that picked on me through the previous years that he knew I probably hated him for it and that he knew how he treated me was bad and that he has a crappy home life with his parents and particularly his dad treating him badly. He didn't ask me for forgiveness, but he did say he was sorry for taking his stuff out on me. Most people never get that lucky for people explain to them and apologize, especially at a young age. I went to a seminary high school so we'd have exercises that encouraged introspection so I'd guess that played a huge part in him getting to that point. I did not say I forgave him or anything, but I did nod that I got it and after that he never treated me badly and when we'd see each other in the hall, we'd nod to each other.
