The vote is over, and honestly, I have mixed feelings about the results. Each of the girls has something unique that sets them apart, so it was interesting to see how the rankings played out.
I didn’t expect Nicole and Valarie to rank so low. As for Violet, I knew she wouldn’t be for everyone, but with her wild, chaotic look, she’ll definitely be an exciting addition to the game.
What really surprised me was Angelina’s popularity. She was originally created for a minor role in Bright Lord, but when the story shifted away from that arc, she was nearly cut from the game. I felt bad since she was a fan-requested character early on, so I gave her a place in The Lighthouse—and somehow, she became a fan favorite. Ironically, she’s probably my least favorite of the ten, but that’s exactly why I held this vote.
Laura’s high ranking was another shock. A year ago, she placed eighth in a similar poll, so I assumed she wouldn’t stand out as a fan favorite. Personally, I’ve always liked her, but I didn’t expect such a strong showing this time around. Meanwhile, Ruby, Margot, and Elise all landed in well-deserved spots. And then there’s Anastasia—well, it’s Anastasia, of course she did great! 😆
The strangest thing is that Valarie actually won last year’s vote, with Ruby in second and Amber in third. This year, she placed much lower, but since she’s closely tied to Anastasia in the story, she’ll still have a significant role. I also feel like the picture I used for her this time didn’t do her justice—if I had removed the jacket and showcased more of her, let’s say, assets, she might have ranked higher. As for Nicole, I already see a perfect place for her in one of the story’s major plotlines.
Now that the vote is settled, it’s time to properly plan out what’s next for the game. Developing the story alongside gameplay mechanics will help solidify the world-building, introduce the different clans, and establish key rivalries.
One of the major elements I’m working on is the rivalry system, which could lead to some divisive mechanics—especially with the potential for NTR. It’s a feature that some people will love, while others might not, but I want to implement it in a meaningful way that adds depth to the experience.
I’ll be sharing more details soon, so stay tuned!
