remember when shanks met rayleigh at sabaody and told him about luffy? he told him that there was a boy in the east blue who said the exact same thing as roger. He was probably refering to luffy’s dream, and when luffy said shanks was in tears when he heard his dream, i wouldn’t be surprised if shanks didn’t actually cry from laughter but because he remembered his captain’s words and got emotional. Whatever’s luffy’s dream is, i’m sure what oda has in mind will blow out expectations

I can see a baby luffy saying that's and I also can see Roger saying something similar.... its definitely a shocking and simplistic that it's funny. And a pirate king can definitely make that kind of deal

2024-10-04 04:12:30 +0000 UTCLuffy’s dream is my favorite mystery but it’s weird to definitely say one thing or the other because of all its conditions. - Luffy was a kid when he made it, learning about the world from stories from Shanks - an 8 year old kid and a 53 yr old man (Roger) had the same dream - he thinks he needs to be pirate king to do it —-> this alone excludes a lot of stuff because you don’t need to be pirate king to try to solve world hunger His dream is probably something beautiful and stupid at the same time.

He was already strong before the time-skip but he was more of a tank and took a lot of unnecessary damage. He's way more defensively responsible now and even seems to have become more athletic.

Back during Punk Hazard, when it was revealed that Law had become a Warlord, it was revealed that he got the status by masterminding the Rocky Port Incident, and stealing the hearts of 100 pirates to give to the Navy as hostages. Just before the Reverie began, when Coby saved Dressrosa's ship from the torpedo, Kyros mentioned that Coby became known as the "Hero of Rocky Port" for saving civilians during the incident. Wang Zhi was mentioned during the introduction of the Rocks Pirates, he was a former member of the Rocks Pirates. Blackbeard apparently ousted him from control of Pirate Island during the Rocky Port Incident.

Got some people laughing, some people gawking, and some people crying at how nice it sounds, it's gotta be the simplest, purest, most Luffy thing possible with a range like that lol killer discussion as always, looking forward to the next batch!

I just watched a whole episode where literally nothing happened and imo was better than all of wano. the humor is back, the interactions are back, the pacing is back, the vibes are back. i am actually terrified of it going back to what it was like before. sry just excited and venting

2024-10-02 00:53:19 +0000 UTCYall finally here! Theres been discussion since Sabaody if Luffy has a dream beyond being King of The Pirates, but we got confirmation now! Shanks actually told Rayleigh in Sabaody about Luffy’s dream. That’s what he meant when he said “It was shocking, Rayleigh. A kid in the East Blue said the exact same thing as our Captain!” It explains why Rayleigh was so excited to meet him back then. Ace talked about it too during his final moments. As for why Shanks was crying, I don’t think it’s because he was laughing so hard, but rather it reminded him so much of Roger. There’s a scene during the flashback with Roger in Wano that showed them talking one on one, so I think that’s when he told Shanks about it. Can’t wait till I get to watch the next arc with y’all, and see all your theories that come with it!
