This little ass arc seriously has no right to be as good as it is. I swear, Oda’s worldbuilding game is so unfuckwithable it’s shocking. Every single time he introduces a new culture, and their new technology, or social hierarchy or customs or something, the world just becomes richer and richer and it opens up 100 more mysteries to theorize about. Man’s has literally been planning out this story since he was like 12, and it seems like with each new arc he just gets better and better at the things he’s best at. This arc was so compelling that from the second silver mine ended I binged everything from this arc and the next arc up to like ep 900 just bc I was so engaged lmao My boy who watched it around the same time said his only complaint about Zou was that it wasn’t longer lol
