They are joined by their loyalty to doffy and his mischief which was groomed by trebol. Buffalo, like Lao G, only cares about baby 5 because she won’t snitch. If it was family, they would have reassured her of her value so she’s not so quick to end her life on a request. Nobody has ever shown her she mattered except this one enemy, Sai. Even now they probably still don’t care bout baby 5. You would think different but then think of law. They didn’t bat an eye to seeing him get killed or Corazon and they knew him first. They don’t care bout each other like that. If they do, it’s a respected allegiance than love. Your beef is our beef until you an opp. Doffy is fond of his family but he doesn’t know how to love them. He killed baby 5’s suitor in the beginning of the arc to retain control of her. That’s all she’s been to him and the exects. this is actually the best thing for her character. Buffalo, from his character portrayal probably would have sold her off for some ice cream or to further the donquixote family. They all knew of her fragile sense of worth and they where taking advantage knowingly. She is a victim of gaslighting and neglect from an early age. Her mother even got rid of her because she was a “burden”. Oda portrayed her as a silhouette of a women who doesn’t even need an identity because she is, in his mind, trash. So abandonment issues developed into codependency. When baby 5 would actually turn down a request from someone who claim they “need her” for the betterment of the person in a way that goes against the people pleaser aesthetic she is used to, she will have developed as a character with her own mind and one who has absorbed enough love from those around her to love herself. To truly love yourself, you must be loved first. this is good for her in my opinion. Buffalo need to do his time. So was ready to kill herself, so sai made her kill that bullshit she was apart and the her that was apart of it. She straight.

Loved the ending to this episode my only qualm is WHAT ABOUT BUFFALO???
