A good thing to remember (and that I'm confident you will) is real devil fruits have swirl patterns on their exteriors, and faux fruits have the spots. You won't believe how many reactors I've seen always question whether a DF user going forward from this point has a "real one" or "fake one" even for types that weren't zoan lol

Likely saw the chaos that would happen if you could crank out DFs on an assembly line. Grand Line is already a mess because everybody and their Big Mom with a fruit eventually winds up there eventually. Don't need anymore than what we have.

If he could create man-made Devil Fruits and the World Government knew about it, they'd have him provide the Marines with artificial DFs for sure. Which is why I'm assuming Momonosuke's DF is actually a successful Fruit but Vegapunk is lying about it bc he doesn't want the WG to know that he can successfully recreate DFs
