It showed jinx that Vi cannot love jinx because Vi sees Jinx as a demon. When Powder messed up and killed the family, Vi rejected her. But Silco still accepted her and loved her even after she killed him. Her choice was made then.

In fact, it's best if you don't look up whoever is involved in the games, because that will almost certainly be big time spoilers for who is available to die and who absolutely can't (or are very much less likely to).
