Nevertheless, our "evil gang leader" is determined to stick by Shen Qiao's side, even as all the other forces of the world seem to be conspiring against him!

Thank you for the comment and kind words! I love how SQ is smart and sweet - LOVE that combo! I agree, there’s lots of puzzle pieces with YWS that I feel are missing – and yes, not much known about him except for SURE - he’s intrigued by SQ and has no problem being all over around him – maybe there’s no worries since he knows SQ is blind, haha!! I love that YWS is such a cynic and SQ is more of a “well, let’s see how it works out,” in his attitude. And yeah, we all see him hahaha, he thinks he’s so smooth! 😛 But him being a little shoulder devil is so true! I’m a sucker for “opposites attract” in some stories, and this one is doing it for me so far! Thank you for the comment and yesssss, I’m so ready for episode 6!

And yes, I agree with you about SQ being more “down to earth” and “grounded.” 🙂 That is a really good point about how they were raised “differently,” though and I would have been SO INTRIGUED by a role swap! He knew without seeing that he was saved by YWS and his disciple and went to thank them (the man is too polite 😛) and he also went to Mont Xuando to have answers after his memory starts to come back and with all things he learned since he fell from the cliff Yan Wushi is such a puzzle. 5 episodes in and the only things that we are sure about is that he is very powerful (especially after 10 yrs in seclusion) and that he has a keen interest in SQ 🥰 and that he likes sitting in windows all sexy 😂😂😂 He is cynic and has no faith in people, as we ve seen in precedent episodes but it shows especially in my opinion in the scene with the homeless people here He was discouraging SQ from helping others and even mocking him for doing so because no one will appreciate his kindness only for the little boy to prove him wrong and thank SQ and show his gratitude.. YWS shut down by a little boy 😂😂😂 He loves to act like the persistent little devil on SQ shoulder but at the same time doesn’t think before rushing to help him 😏 I see you Mr big bad Evil gang Master Them being opposites in many ways and the dynamic between them is what makes me fall in love with Thousand Automns and I am so glad you re having a great time watching it and discovering this amazing story. Now let’s see how that discussion between SQ and Yu Ai will go..

2025-12-13 07:55:38 +0000 UTCYou make good points about the TGCF comparisons in this discussion! I definitely feel like SQ is much more ‘down to earth’ in his desire to help people compared to XL. It’s got me wondering how much of that is due to their differing personalities and how much of that is because of how they were raised. XL was a prince, his whole job was to help and eventually lead his people, and he knew from a young age he might ascend. SQ was raised in a sect that practiced ‘non-action’, so he may have been raised to see helping people outside his sect as a virtue, but not something that he was directly responsible for. A role swap between the two would be really interesting to see. 🤔 I’m definitely looking forward to the next episode! Thanks for the video!
