STEINS;GATE: Episode 16 FULL LENGTH Reaction!

What a dark and crazy episode and we're barely 2/3 through the story. I think the sacrifice being Amane - her sacrificing how much she has bonded with this group to go get the IBN5100 in 1975 and not being able to meet them again is really fitting and tragic at the same time. So just to help with clarifying what the changes might have been between vers 2.3 and 2.31 timeline lol I feel like Daru now so originally Daru was fixing the time machine alongside Suzuha at some point and Kurisu creating the time leap machine Mayuri goes ahead with her plan to find the dad and Okarin and Suzuha went out to go search for clues. With this new version I dont think Mayuri went along with her plan because well we saw what happened with the police starting to get suspicious and so most likely the moment between Kurisu and Okarin happened with him pointing out the naming convention because she remembered that when Mayuri brought it up and Okarin probably left Suzuha with Daru to help with fixing the machine and he went to stake out the vendor. We see that most of the bonding moments happen between Suzuha and Daru and the same conversation pre phone call happens as well but as you pointed out the conversation between him and Suzuha probably never happened. You made a good point that the time machine does operate like the phone microwave and my guess is that if Kurisu is captured in this worldline from what happened in episode 12 and worked for Sern then she wasnt apart of the resistance group formed by Okarin and Daru to make improvements on said time machine which makes sense. It sucks that basically all the moments with Suzuha while not many from the episode 10's party to now are erased but I agree that it needed to happen for the sake of Daru and Mayuri who would have held on to the outcome of Suzuha's life and they most likely would make emotional decisions from this knowledge. Well what an episode and Im looking forward to the next.
