Huzzah! Thank you for the comment! What a wild episode, right?! But mannnn, Dobu IS Smooth, but smoothness only takes you so far with someone as desperate as Tanaka was in this episode. It’s wild how lying was so easy for Dobu - I felt for Tanaka as his world truly shattered this episode…oof. Just…OOF for this episode, indeed. Thanks again for the comment! 2025-09-30 19:00:59 +0000 UTCNow I can say that my jaw dropped when in the episode 11 discussion you speculated about Dobu having scammed Tanaka and heading towards karmic justice - loved the prediction. Also, shoutout to Dobu for being the smoothest liar in history. I feel like in most series, whenever a character lies, the audience is either given enough information to know what they are lying about or, at the very least, there are some context clues to show that someone is behaving in a suspicious way. Meanwhile, Dobu just states everything as if it's an obvious fact and sandwiches a lie in a bunch of truths. It happened in an earlier episode when he said he didn't have anything to do with Shirakawa getting close to Odokawa and yet he would have fooled me again with denying the Zooden account if Tanaka wasn't so persistent.
