DANDADAN Season 2: Episode 6 FULL LENGTH Reaction!

*ROCKING OUT HEADPHONE WARNINGS*

This episode was a BLAST! I had no clue what to expect, but it exceeded all my theories with this wicked exorcism rock concert, Jiji being a precious bean, Okarun stepping up, and Momo's friends taking ACTION!

There's SO much going on this week and I was head-banging for it!

The performance was perfect! My favorite part of the episode for sure and I can SO see the Inu-Oh feel to it as well, yesssss! Ryo Yamada would so approve! Thank you for the comment and kind words; this was so worth it!

Wow, do I love the way they did the performance this episode - I think it's probably my favorite song for the year in a new anime, it's so good! Has a slight Inu-Oh feel to it, with the spirits rising out, right?! I also feel like Ryo Yamada would approve! Enjoyed your reaction to it all and the discussion, it definitely got all the budget! Haha!

Seiko looks so badass constantly, I agree 100%! I LOVE hair down Seiko, though, but considering her line of “work,” I can see why she has it up. Agreed - Momo’s friends are definitely devious - Poor Momo and Okarun, but I’m here for them being matchmakers! 😛 YES - there IS selfishness with keeping Evil Eye around - I honestly think that it may come to the point where Evil Eye hurts someone, which is why Okarun is having some distance (as we’ll see upcoming) and why Manjiro is having issues, which I think is this next episode, too. I’m personally disgruntled with Evil Eye…as y’all will see this coming week, hahaha, but these are very good points to make! Evil Eye has to WANT to reform…you can’t make someone do it…usually. ;) Thank you for the comment!

Grandma Seiko always look badass but her everyday hairdo isn't doing her any favors, hair down Seiko is best Seiko. So i love how good and compassionate Okarun and Jiji are but there is a bit of selfishness with everyone involved here in keeping Evil Eye around. I'm not against trying to reform Evil Eye but he is stated as being one of the most powerful spirits/yokai and he wants to destroy all of humanity, there is a bigger picture here that might need a bit more consideration. If we learn that a serial killer had a really awful upbringing (and even could know it was 100% the reason they became a killer) we could (and should) have sympathy for them but we still shouldn't just leave them out and about. I sure hope for everyone involved that Evil Eye doesn't get lose and kill a bunch of innocent people. Momo's friends ARE devious, they were gonna get Okarun to that maid café no matter what, poor Momo.

Hayasii really made the episode for me this week xD The way they appear so loudly, and then immediately become super polite when they return to tell Granny Seiko who they are cracks me up. They're so loud, in both dress and music, but they act so politely and the contrast is excellent. Look, I saw them tuning their instruments and getting ready to perform, sounding out of tune and the basist even gets a string snapping, and I thought the gag was going to be that they were awful; but then, my brain clicked and I realized just who the vocalist was, and immediately knew that the performance was going to be fire, and it didn't disappoint one bit. I swear, I was laughing my ass off through that whole performance, but specially Seiko *banging her head to the rhythm of the music while performing a seance* hilarious stuff, 10/10. You know, when the episode started I was dreading the fight agaisnt Evil Eye, considering how much trouble he had given originally, but then you get this opening where some time has passed, based on the fact that now they are all wearing their pjs and they weren't wearing them at diner, and this is not the first tme that they have subdued Evil Eye this night - and you get one very quick flash of Momo dousing Evil Eye with the thermos right at the beginning of the episode - that really reminded me that, yeah, he's a pain in the butt, but they have found a way to control him somehow so far. Jiji being a sweetheart is my brand of Jiji, but yeah, I totally agree that they are playing too hot-and-cold with him. Seiko having ulterior motives as to why she let Jiji keep Evil Eye (and saying it like that makes me chuckle because it sounds like she allowed him to keep a puppy not an evil spirit, lol) is something that I can see happening because, well, this is anime and if anime has taught me anything is a general distrust of authority figures xD But I also think that she was just touched by his genuine sentiment towards Evil Eye, his compassion, and couldn't go agaisnt it; I mean, Momo has to have inherited her big heart from someone, and it being Seiko is something that I would love. Plus, I think she already suspected that Jiji could be trained to control Evil Eye, but it was something she wouldn't suggest to him unless he asked for it. Okarun paying it forward with Jiji, helping him as he was helped in his time of need is amazing. And while all of those emotional bits were so incredibly good, Muko and Mi stole the last part of the episode for me. First of all, are they all really called Muko, Mi, and Momo? Like, *MMM?* Their friend group is pure Ms? That's hilarious and I love it. Second, Muko and Mi are the best wingwomen ever LOL Okarun stating that he won't drink anything at the maid cafe, and one of them - I really don't know which one - saying that "he'll get thirst" (I'm assuming because of Momo in the maid outfit) is freaking awesome and cracks me up so much. Also, I just love that Muko and Mo are Okarun's friends as well now. Okarun befriended Momo, almost by accident, and now he has a group of friends; sure, they're all kind of weirdos, lol, but they are all great.
