Thank you so much!! It feels like so long ago since I finished Utena, but it honestly hasn't been that long, right?! The series is SUCH a classic and I can definitely respect it for being such a foundational series! The manga is sooooo different - there are parts of it that I actually really like, but then other parts that floor me! And the lack of Nanami is so sad. :') And yeah, the lack of Utena and Anthy really surprised me as well - I'm glad that the movie made up for it! ;) Thank you so much for the comment and kind words! And no worries - I hope at some point you get a chance to check out The Summer Hikaru Died - it is a fantastic series and I'm so in love with it! :D

It hasn't even been very long since Utena reactions have finished, yet it felt a bit nostalgic already hearing about the show and how it was a foundational piece along with its imperfections! I would never have imagined the manga to have SOO many differences from the anime, it's actually kinda crazy, and sad about the lack of Nanami, but then again, the movie was quite different as well! Also floored that the manga takes a huge step back in Utena + Anthy's relationship, did not expect that! Interesting to hear the impressions of the first two episodes of Hikaru are quite a different direction then the subsequent two! I haven't seen that show yet, but I expect to check out your reaction and discussions at some point! Thanks for sharing the livestream, I hope to make it to one someday! :)
