A Place Further Than the Universe: Episode 10 FULL LENGTH Reaction!

*PARTIALLY FRIENDLY HEADPHONE WARNINGS*

This series is SNEAKY - it starts out with a wonderfully detailed breakdown of our girls arriving to Antarctica and the set up of their new "base," but then breaks down into an interpersonal dissection of friendship and what makes them work and develop!

Yuzuki is going through it this week and I was not expecting to get emotional from this episode...but here we are! Welcome to Antarctica!

I just love Yuzuki being the center of the episode; it’s so sweet! This entire episode was just lovely throughout! And Yuzuki realizing she has good friends? LOVE. And yes, overpowering miscommunication by having Kimari being on top of things and being sensible; we love to see it! Thank you for the comment and kind words and yessss, I cannot wait for this coming week!

Hahahaha, ONLY about the journey, and we’re not just talking about a ship hahaha – And yes, the classroom! That’s a great point about the characters in the OP! I loved how Kimari was able to relate to Yuzuki – and ahh, winter birthdays are awful; I feel for you; that sucks! And yes, this show is bound and determined to make me sob! So thank you for saying that’s okay! That is a fair point that we need more female friendship stories that aren’t totally magical girl series! 😀Thank you for the comment and kind words!

Such a perfect episode for Yuzuki, and we can say 1/4 of missions completed, cause Yuzuki finally reaches her longtime dream. Also want to share that I always love the description way of this episode for Yuzuki. She keeps saying why, why, why, how, how, how. That’s just remind me the preschool, the period we can’t stop asking this and that. And based on we have already known, Yuzuki never had a real friend, she’s basically the preschool kid in the relationship, especially friendship. Such a simple but perfect way to describe she's just not knowing anything about friendship. But thank god the sensibility of Kimari saves the day again, and this time perfectly matching the missing pieces of our poor Yuzuki. Also glad you catch up the clue in the credits scene, now I can’t wait for my favourite episode with my favourite Hinata in next week.

another wonderful episode of a show that's DEFINITELY 100% about going to Antarctica and nothing else. one thing i'm not sure you've noticed during the OP is in the classroom. Kimari is sitting there contemplating the gravitas of the situation. she still adds her own quirky self to the scene by sporting a pencil on her lip like a mustache. of course it falls off when she gets distracted. one thing I love is the care they give to EACH main character. Just about when you start to think "hey.. we haven't delved into her back story too much" an episode focuses on her. I love how Kimari realizes that Yuzu literally does not understand friendship and is able to recognize the tragedy of it all. it makes sense that Yuzu would quantify friendship in contract form, given her career. also my birthday is 12/28. I grew up with all my friends going skiiing or visiting relatives during my birthday. IT SUCKS. not to mention, you get half the gifts per year. I know it's not about quantity, but IT IS about quantity. please feel free to cry. This show is worth crying over. as a male, i have always appreciated stories that dealt with the bonds of friendship being stronger than any challenge. I've often been disappointed with the lack of deep female friendship stories. I've seen so many male friendship/bromance stories: sam carrying frodo over mount doom. Red's redemption due to his friendship with Dufresne in Shawshank Redemption, dozens of sport team movies, hundreds of anime. Most female friendship stories I've seen are either super young, or they are already established and rarely brought up, or practically rivals. I love how this show explores different views of friendship, from 'casual and free', to the 'loyal to the ends of the earth'.
