I’m glad someone else sees the double standard that’s present, because I’ve definitely noticed it growing up and reading! I LOVE Udon as a character! They are so adorable and they animate him so well! Also, if only it was so easy to pick up people! 😛 The idea of Kurosawa nursing a sick Adachi is right up there in my romance trope wheelhouse of picks I’d make! The mirroring of someone viewing being a “first” for Adachi as too much with Kurosawa who is all about that is great, indeed! And ooohhh ho ho, I’m glad you found the big sister reveal as funny! XD They did such a good job of making me do a 180 with her character! They got me, gal! XD Can we get a BL/GL AU where everyone who are virgins get abilities? I mean, a lot of people consider the X-Men a symbol of LGBTQA+ communities soooooo I loved the surprise of Tsuge being younger than Adachi - apparently you can’t judge a character by their voice! 😛 That’s hilarious that Tara isn’t a morning person - my two are completely! But Tara the bed stealer! XD Thank you for the comment and the VA information! I’m sooo excited to see what’s next for this series!

I completely agree with you on your commentary about toxic BL versus toxic hetero stories. I definitely feel like more BL gets called out if it has characters with toxic traits, toxic tropes, or follows a toxic plot, especially in comparison to the straight romance stories that have the same issues. I completely understand people calling out certain BL for having such traits/tropes/plots, but it definitely feels like a double standard if the same isn't done for stories like Mills & Boon bodice-ripper novels. Udon, the cat, is voiced by Watabe Momoka, but I don't know of any other roles she's done. Udon, though, is definitely up there amongst my favourite animated pets. The animation team really did an amazing job at animating him. How to win over your local delivery person? Fur baby 🥰 I love how quick he was to win over just by seeing that Tsuge adopted Udon 🥺 You were predicting left and right this episode. First with Adachi getting sick and then suggestion Kurosawa should go to Adachi's home 😁 I love the mirroring of Kurosawa against the female co-worker from Adachi's dream. She was a crush for Adachi but not someone he could have a relationship with because she saw being Adachi's first as being too much. Meanwhile Kurosawa only considers such a thing in a positive light and would love to have all of Adachi's firsts. Can I just say I was so entertained by your reaction throughout the episode to Kurosawa's big sister? 🤣 They did such a good job at framing her introduction in such a way that it does make the viewer think the exact same as Adachi. But the "Begone thot" when she suddenly appeared at Adachi's house really made me burst out laughing. The show pulls such a fast one with you on her character by introducing her as a potential ex of Kurosawa's only for her to actually be of help to bringing Adachi and Kurosawa a little closer (at least physically) 🤣 Your comments about other kinds of powers you'd like to have after you turned thirty (like pyromancy or flight) did put me in mind that that could be a kind of X-Men AU 🤣 Yes I kept mum about Tsuge's age back when we first met him because I knew saying as much could constitute a spoiler for this episode and the surprise of Tsuge ending up with the same powers as his friend who confided in him 😆 So glad no-one else spoiled you about that. I do feel like their choice of voice actors for Tsuge and Adachi does make you think the former is older. But also for their first onscreen interaction together, back in Episode 2, the way they were sitting in Tsuge's flat could easily make you think Tsuge is older (Tsuge was sat on the sofa, while Adachi was on a lower level sitting on the floor), given how respect for someone older than you is sometimes portrayed in anime. I am really not a morning person, and I'm so thankful that neither is Tara. The only issue with that is that if she does need the toilet at around 8am she'll come back inside and go straight up to my bed while I close up, so then I have to fight with her over the amount of space I'm allowed in my own bed before I can try to go back to sleep for a couple of hours 😆 Couple of seiyuu for you this episode: Blonde deliveryman is voiced by Satou Gen, who is also the seiyuu for Rintarou from Stars Align; and Chrome from Dr. Stone. Kurosawa's sister is voiced by Taichi You who has also voiced Seo from Tsurune; Takeo from Demon Slayer; and Kaneda from March Comes In Like A Lion. Great reaction as always! Can't wait to see more.

Thank you for the comment and kind words! And ooohhhhhhh, well, we don’t know about Kujisaki (the secretary) yet, but if she’s not into women…that COULD BE! XD I love how Tsuge is dramatic as well - a writer’s heart and secret romantic INDEED! I can’t wait to see more of them in this series, hopefully!

Love how Tsuge reacts so dramatically every time he hears something sweet from Minato’s head. you can tell he’s a writer from that alone imo 😁 Thanks for the video! Great discussion as always! Maybe the lesbians really do gain invisibility, since we haven’t seen any of them yet XP

Loved the reaction and discussion! Such a delightful episode and a full roller-coaster of emotions in the reaction. Loved how the show lulled me into a false sense of security with darling Udon and then swerved directly into sickness + the Relative Error trope. Adachi is truly a struggling bean. 😂 Adore the introduction of the little fanged bean – I relate, as well, any time I see a kitty cat or doggo I struggle to act normal and keep paying attention to the human beings around. 🤣 Also the progression from “Begone, thot!” to “Thank you!” in less than 30 seconds was hilarious. 🤣 Great to see how much fun you're having with the show. 🥰 Looking forward to next week! 🍒
