This episode was WILD! We have mystery surrounding Senshi, exposition on the dungeon, and Marcille dabbling in new magic with FAMILIARS! And Laios is simultaneously here for it and not here for Marcille's lack of monster creativity!
I just adored this episode!! Let's talk about it!

Oh, I think that you can think that as well about the Falin doll - I’m not saying I’m right, just expressing what I thought! I’m glad you are on board with the leftovers segments! I definitely think with these last several episodes, it’s been hard to add a cooking segment, so doing some in May/June would be a lot of fun to follow up with if people were interested in watching – if folks don’t care, I won’t bother with it, of course. They do take time to put together and film/get the supplies, etc. I LOVED the humor in this episode! And yes, the Griffin was a really nice animation and actually scary! I was REALLY worried Senshi would be carried off without help! I love that that familiars Marcille makes…kind of look like chicken nuggets! Hahaha!! But the familiars WERE ADORABLE! And Laios playing god is TERRIFYING! Thank you for the comment and kind words! This episode was HILARIOUS and I can’t believe we only have two more episodes! :’)

2025-04-29 00:50:53 +0000 UTCHappy to hear your take on the Falin doll being more of something Marcille treasures and finds comforting in her nightmare - I must have gotten it mixed up earlier! I also don't want to think of Marcille viewing Falin as a possession. A leftovers/side dish segment could be a fun challenge as a one-off, maybe since the manga is out the 2nd season dishes will still be pretty easy to find, not sure! The cooking was a nice bonus, but I'm sure it takes a lot of effort to put together! The humor never disappoints; this episode had so many great moments! The Griffin is animated very nicely, fast and terrifying, and Laios thinks "how cool!" juxtaposed with Senshi losing his nerves for the first time! Marcille is just like what is this chicken nugget junk food, I ordered KFC! Yes! And her trio of familiars - so adorable! I enjoyed seeing them tackle the puzzle of saving Senshi with them, adapting to their mistakes each attempt. Laios playing God and making the ultimate monster, followed by its evolution which Marcille promptly destroys to make the legendary skyfish! Haha! And that transition cut of poor Marcille holding her dead skyfish to Laios beheading it with Senshi's cutting knife - it hits right in the guts! I'm living for the reaction and discussion for this show! SO good!

Someone else said chilchuck wants to be a mysterious character/draw the line between work and personal life while senshi is a mysterious character. We know almost nothing about him. He volunteers little to no information till this point. He’s not traditionally mysterious he’s not brooding in a corner, with his arms crossed, and flipping his hair. He’s so welcoming. For Chilchuck yes we know little about him in comparison to others but he’s easier to get information out of. A little bit of prodding and he’ll give in.
