The first idea that came to mind was a ghost bat (since this is spooky season), but since it is a reward for April 2025 and it is spring, it didn't seem to fit the season.
Then the idea came to me of a beetle...
I drew this in 2019, so it's been 5 years. I think I started drawing bugs that year. I drew a lot of beetles and moths. Since it's been 5 years, I've made some changes to the character design.
Moth has a bit of a creative pattern, inspired by dot-lined white and luna moth...
I designed it with the part where the gold leaf would be applied in mind first. Somehow It feels a bit similar to making an enamel pin badge. I briefly imagined a stag beetle badge made only with white ink on rose gold foil π Hmm...but stickers would probably be much more useful π (I haven't been making pins for a while for some reasons, but I'd like to make them someday once the issues are resolved)
Something like this! For now, I'm thinking about using colors that are as restrained as possible π€
We'll see how it turns out next week.
