[ idea sketch ] Candy tadpole
Added 2022-06-11 16:44:39 +0000 UTCI suddenly thought I should draw some tadpoles. There is no reason, but there are times when I just suddenly feel that way I should draw specific animals.. This is probably a common occurrence for animal artists.(?)
I wanted to draw it like a shiny little candy in pastel tones.
The color came to mind first, so I drew the color thumb first.
A little study before drawing a tadpole
The side view of a tadpole is almost like a fish.
Perhaps the deformation of the tadpole we are familiar with is the view of the tadpole from above.
So if I design a character that is close to a real tadpole form, I don't think people will perceive it as a tadpole. So, I sketched with the middle in mind. And I drew the small feet. it's a big characteristic of tadpoles :D
The tadpoles of horned frogs in Asia have an unusual mouth because they feed on food that floats on the water.
The African clawed frog's tadpole has a whisker.
This drawing will more like characters rather than a specific species than usual, but I tried to make use of the characteristics of some tadpoles.
I'm thinking I might be able to finish it next week :D
