Originally, I planned to draw wild weasel, but suddenly I remembered that there were many people who said they wanted to see the ferret in my style. Some patrons here have mentioned to me about ferrets before. I finally drew themπ
In Korea where I live, people who grow ferrets are quite rare. So I've never actually seen them. Instead, thanks to the Internet, I often watched cute videos and photos. Their flexible and elongated body is impressive.
Their species is the same(Mustela furo), there are several breeds based on color and pattern
Sketch
I think the ears were drawn a little bigger in the sketch, so they could look like cats or raccoons. So, in the final stage, I reduced the size of the ears a little more.
Color
At first, I thought of a gradation of a light color(albino~) on the top and a dark color (sable) on the bottom.
However, after completing it, I realized that on a bright background, the eyes are focused on the dark colored ferrets at the bottom.
So in the last step I mixed up some ferret positions.
