A subtle point to add to what you were saying about Mike: When he was sending the Germans off home in their individual cars in the desert, notice that the first guy, Ki, said sympathetically to Mike, "You had to do it. Werner was soft," as if trying to make Mike feel better, and Mike punched him in the face. When the second guy, the tall guy, said to Mike, scowling, "He was worth fifty of you," Mike just looked away, deadpan as always but as if in agreement. Subtle, yeah, but I think it says a lot.

It has been progressively changing as each episode and season moves forward, not sure if you've picked up on that yet. Would love to see you catch it and mention what you notice next time.
