chuck doing the whole "no offence but...*says something offensive*"

Small piece of trivia: Initially, Chuck was supposed to be relatively small part, just a chore Jimmy had to contend with to show how crappy his life was. But Michael McKean so connected with the role, so crushed it, the antagonistic chemistry between him and Odenkirk so powerful, the producers realized it was goldmine to be mined. Nor dissimilar to Aaron Paul's situation in BB. Love your reactions, K&E, but if you can, please bring back the counter at the bottom of the screen. All I'm getting now is very fuzzy images of what's going on, making it very difficult to sync up when you stop and start. Keep up the awesome work!

Oh I forgot to mention. Kailyn asked about the prettiness of the show. The show had two Directors of Photography. S1-2 was done by Arthur Albert who did 3 of the last Breaking Bad few episodes, including the Finale. S3-6 was then managed by Marshall Adams who did S5E1 of Breaking Bad & El Camino. The DoP is the one who is most responsible for the overall look and feel of a show. The director may choose the shot, but the DoP is the one who makes it. I agree that Marshall Adams really did make this show exceptionally pretty and it only gets better.

It was a shock to watch this the first time it aired. I actually didn't want to continue with the show at the time and got into a debate with my best friend about it. But he convinced me to stick it out and it was very much worth it. The last three seasons - as you noted - are fantastic. Yes, it's the sad end for Chuck, but as you can imagine it is not the end of his influence on key characters.

They definitely nailed mental disorders on this show. I have a hair-pulling disorder, so I have to sit on my hands when Chuck takes apart his house. Otherwise, I wouldn't have a beard left by the end of the episode. πŸ˜†

Yeah in the end Chuck pushed away everyone who ever cared about him. It's a shame that the scene was interrupted a couple of times by the lil bubba because I well up every time I watch Chuck tearing his house apart with those sombre horns playing. It all started from him having to confront his emotional state after his talk with Jimmy. As soon as he read that, his tremors started coming back and from there he spiralled. I'd recommend re-watching it if you get a moment. Even though Chuck's been shown that the condition is entirely in his head, it's so hard to shake such a strongly held mental conviction. He even tried feeling out power in his walls. To see such a brilliant man be brought to such depths of insanity is utterly tragic. I'm not sure if Jimmy did entirely prove Chuck wrong with his yoga stunt. He had to do it because he initially hurt Irene and felt bad about it (like Chuck said) and to fix it he had to hurt all the others by making himself the bad guy. Playing to his strengths, as Kim said. I do love the irony of Gus keeping Hector alive so that he can kill him himself only for them to both die on Hector's terms in BB! My inkling on why he suspects Nacho is that it's a bit suspicious to go around collecting each individual pill when your boss has just collapsed in front of you. This finale is so hard hitting. I had hoped that you would get here before your break so that you could sit on it for a while, but que sera :) Jimmy is going to be thinking of that conversation with Chuck for the rest of his life. Even if Chuck does die, his spirit will certainly linger over our characters.
