Watching this episode back always makes me so sad. Poor Chuck man.

Please pause the video when you have to comment. Then restart once you are done. As patrons we'd enjoy listening to your opinion without worrying that you are missing out on something else.

You forgot to add the “Bravo Vince” pfft amateur

Mike is such a good character, played by a wonderful actor. I still remember being surprised by how much Mike seemed compassionate and reticent to kill when I started watching Better Call Saul. That was a major point that I wanted explained down the road. Just like I wanted an explanation for why Chuck, Kim, Howard, Nacho, etc. had not appeared in BB. An in-universe explanation of course.

Restless Tome

seriously!

Ironically, the switching of the heart medicine gives the audience a heart attack...

Last week's episode ended with Mike saying there was "one more thing" he needed from Nacho, This week opens (after the teaser) with Mike scanning the field next to where he'd hijacked the truck until he was able to uncover the buried body of the Good Samaritan. Obviously the "one more thing" he needed from Nacho was the exact spot, as close as Nacho could describe, of where they'd buried the good Samaritan, because the story that woman told him about how they'd never found her husband's body and how the lack of closure had added to her pain was nawing away at Mike's conscience.

Nacho switching the meds - I love this stuff in BCS. In any other show this would be a 5 second scene, 3 quick cuts, boom boom, switched, done. Here we actually feel the tension of a seemingly mundane action, which in Nachos case does have enormous stakes.

As you pointed out, he's back to being slipping Jimmy, which probably makes him think of Marco and that song

Phil Jacke

When Jimmy was lying on his back playing guitar he was playing smoke on the water--the same song Marco was singing in season 1 ("butt butt hole") and the song Jimmy was humming to himself as he drove away at the end of the season. He says the guitar was signed by Ritchie Blackmoor, one of the guitarists for deep purple--the band that wrote smoke on the water
