Hey K&E, just in case you're buying that Chuck bs that he "loves the law," no, he loves winning. As he said to Howard before going to the Mesa Verdes hearing, "I love a victory lap."
Consider the only 2 times we heard about Chuck as a lawyer before his "condition." The 1st was in flashback when Kim and Jimmy were still in the mailroom. Story wee were given, by Kim, that it was a losing case but Chuck found some obscure statute from way back when to win the day. Sounds to me that winning is more important than justice. The second was when Rich and his associates met Chuck and Jimmy at Chuck's house. Rich tells a similar story about them as co-counsels on what seemed to be a losing case, but Chuck pulled some other legalistic magic out of his ass. Again, winning before justice.
Chuck is a bad guy, worse than Jimmy because at least Jimmy admits what he is, and Chuck is just arrogant and sanctimonious about it.
Just my two cents.
