Excellent two-parter! Very informative and detailed as always. You explain clearly a lot of things that can be difficult for me to articulate.

Loved the video! I was wondering whether you include & analyse examples of successful public housing too - I heard the Netherlands has some, and the HDB programme in Singapore seems to be quite successful compared to most public housing programmes. Curious to hear your opinion!

guess I'm a little late here, but the picture you used for option b, buying shares of the company, is actually a bond which doesn't confer any voting rights. Otherwise great vid!!

Do you have any reading suggestions RE: public housing?

For the record, I am perfectly happy with my donation and schedule of collection. The videos are good, and as long as you’re not... I dunno, using the money to buy Philly real estate to Airbnb, and become a mega landlord. Release schedule is A-OK with me!

One thing not addressed here is the tendency of poor workers, when all living in close proximity to eachother in high density poor neighbourhoods, to develop class consciousness. I've seen this mentioned as a factor in e.g. 19th century Paris around the time of the commune.
Do you think "mixed income housing" intentionally divides the poors to discourage class consciousness and solidarity, or is it just a convenient side effect of gentrification?

it *is* counterrevolutionary though. language is like hairstyle: connected to your body, styled to hell, and constantly used as a marker of class belonging

The revolution will be accompanied by overthrowing elitist grammar 'rules'

It isn't, but that's how my Philly grandmother pronounces it, so I've made peace with that.

Next you're gonna say that "water" isn't pronounced like "wooder."

No such thing as "more better", it's just "better". The revolution will not be founded on bad grammar.
