Update

Hello everyone,

The lower effort trend-chasey video format was a success, unfortunately the best performing video ever lol. It actually did result in the intended outcome which was a high percentage of returning viewers dispersing amongst the existing content on the channel, which means more eyes on graphics programming and more people interested in learning about the topic, which is great.

I also announced the first ever Acerola Jam two weeks ago, which starts in two weeks. I just realized I forgot to post it here lol but I assume you all probably saw the video on the channel anyways. I've been really busy doing all the admin work for ensuring it all goes well. I'm trying to setup simulcasting for the theme reveal and judging so it's live on twitch and youtube which i've never done before so it's a little stressful.  I've also been busy with finding a new place to move into and I'll be flying to LA tomorrow for the streamer awards because it was fun last year and then ofc packing and moving the last few days of the month.

Because of the busy-ness I haven't been able to make much progress on the Disney PBR video but I have done a lot of reading and I'm working on a nice comparison scene between the basic lighting models and the cooler more advanced physically based models which I think will be a good resource. In the meantime this month's video will be another frame capture review, this one for Persona 3 Reload because it's my favorite game of all time and there is actually a lot to learn from its graphics. I'm pretty happy with the educational value of my script so far. The game's UI is also beautiful and a one of a kind case study, so please look forward to it.

I apologize for delaying the video you all voted for again. I hope to put it out by the end of March but this depends on the amount of submissions for the game jam as it is looking to be far far larger than I predicted. If I end up having to review hundreds of games then well that's how it goes.
