Update: Another Rotation Around the Sun

So, it is that time of year again. The day is upon us when I celebrate successfully surviving another rotation around the eye-searing fusion demon in the sky...Sun. I meant sun.

I'm am turning *mumble, mumble* years old. I might have announced this sooner, except I pretty much forgot about my birthday until my friend asked me about it a couple days ago. That's the thing about birthdays. After 21, it's mostly just a habit to celebrate. After 30, you've already hit all the major milestones until retirement. It gets pretty easy to lose track.

Still, I find that my friends and family get irritated with me when I tell them I plan to celebrate the same way I do most years. By, you know, working. Then, they ask, "Well, are you going to go out and have a nice dinner, at least?" To which I mutter something about maybe ordering in a steak. This year, though, I think it's going to be some kind of fancy ramen. Turns out that there's a restaurant nearby that makes legit ramen and whatever kind of broth they use in their Kontatsu ramen actually tastes like food to me. Given that I'm still stuck in the 14th circle of hell where basically all food tastes terrible, that's a big win. So, that's the winner for dinner. I might go get a cupcake, too. A real cake is way too much for me, but one cupcake is just about right.

I thought about just taking the day off, but since I didn't make any plans, it would have just resulted in me sitting around and watching TV or wasting time on Webtoon. So, yeah, there will likely be a chapter or two later if nothing comes up. Anyway, I hope you all are well and happy on this not-very-auspicious day.

In case any of you were wondering, I did get myself a present. Here's a picture of me wearing it.

Very clearly, I didn't get myself a razor or bother to brush my hair. That's what happens when FedEx shows up early in the morning.
