"Missing" Chapters and Notifications

Something weird is going on with Patreon where chapters that should be appearing in collections are apparently going missing. They aren't missing. They aren't even inaccessible. When I post a chapter, there's a box I check to put the chapters into a specific volume in the collections tab. For some reason, it seems like when I change the tier access for a chapter, Patreon is "helpfully" unchecking that specific box on those chapters.

Even if a chapter isn't in the collection anymore, I assure you that it's still on Patreon. I know this because I can count on exactly one finger the number of posts I've deleted from this site. You can access any chapter via the pinned Chapter Links post here. That's why I initially created that post after all. It's a little less user-friendly than the Collections tab, but I also exert way more control over it.

Also, I fairly routinely get people asking to opt of notifications. Patreon is not a sophisticated mailing list management tool. It's a blunt instrument, to be honest. I have zero ability to opt anyone out of notifications for new chapters in the upper tiers. The only thing I think I can do is have no notifications for those chapters when they post.

As for the notification I send out when I update the chapters for the lower tiers, I could theoretically remove people from that notification, but I'd have to do it individually for anyone who doesn't want those notifications. Frankly, it would take forever, because I'd have to search through a mass message list that's hundreds of entries long. I have no way to automatically opt anyone out of those messages.

So, we're going to have another poll that I'll post in a minute in which people can vote to either do away with notification altogether or vote to keep them. If I had more granular control over the notifications, there'd be more options. As things stand, it's basically all or nothing.
