Eric Update: Back In Town

Okay, so the brief trip out of town has been successfully concluded, and I've returned to the safety of my... Cave? Socialization avoidance domain? No, that's not it. Oh! Right! My apartment. And as with most trips, even brief ones, I came back to the 107 things I didn't get done before I left, along with all the new things that piled up.

For example, I have a move-in date for my new apartment, which comes with a list of things I need to do. Set up utilities. Get renter's insurance. Sign the lease. Make an appointment to go get the keys after a certain date. Start finding movers. Figure out a date by which I will be reasonably well packed up enough to have movers come and take things from one apartment to the other. I've also got a small stack of publishing-related tasks that I need to get wrapped up sooner than later.

Anyway, after driving for a big chunk of the day, getting home, taking care of some of the things on my extensive list, reassuring my cat that me going to get things out of my car is not a sign of the apocalypse, getting something resembling dinner together, and eating, we're up to now in my day...and it's midnight here. I could probably stay up late and write a chapter, but it definitely wouldn't be my best work. Plus, my cat has a vet appointment tomorrow...or possibly the next day. I need to call and confirm. Either way, bad planning on my part, but I don't want to reschedule because I've already waited two weeks to take her in to see the vet.

So, rather than write something meh and oversleep tomorrow, I'm going to call it a night. I will, however, aim to post 2 Isekai Terry chapters tomorrow to make up for the miss.
