Trying to See Rotating Magnetic Fields

SEEING IS BELIEVING! Although I guess sometimes you just have to rely on the evidence... not everything is visible you know!
How about using an brushless non sensored RC car speed control to drive that RC airplane brushless outboard motor instead of those power supplies? You can control the motor frequency much slower down to zero. Plus all you need is a lipo battery pack and not use power supplies with 20mm server rack fans. Any decent local hobby store could help you find one from Traxxas or Castle Creations. Or there are probably a ton of Amazon. Or if any of that fails, the guys at my old shop pchobbies.com would be happy to help (not an endorsement).

This reminded me of the Napier Deltic engine. Visualize THAT, mate!!

I also bought such a POS (piece of sheeeeet) a while ago. Try it on big flexible fridge magnets, they look cool.

I need to get a piece of that "sheeeeet" :-)

That was excellent. Maybe next you can help us visualise the rotating magnetic field of circularly polarized light.

This blows my little mind. The philosophy of "seeing" to understand, or even trying to see is very profound; I have not thought of learning this way. I think this is where genius comes from. Those who see, or even try to, discover. You make me wish I were 12 again!
