Hello everyone! Sorry for the long delay to make a video. We have been quite busy renovating and moving! So let's see how's the new place!

Now I should get back to reading your messages, they are accumulating! SORRY!

A good feng sue in the New house? 🙂

Awsome, Mehdi! Congrats!

How was my rickroll😉

I'm so happy to see you investigating AFCIs. I retrofitted them into my house recently, then discovered http://www.combinationafci.com/resources/doc_ieee_combination_afci.pdf and now I suspect it was a big waste of money.

Or look into mini-splits.

That neighbourhood is one hell of a mess, cable-wise. Looks almost like some cities in eastern asia.

How much shortcircuit current do you have at your fuseboard? How would YOU measure it?

Thomas Eriksen

Other than your videos, I sure hope you teach. You've got the gift (knowledge, skill, 'shock' & awe, and humor). \

A heat pump may help address your gas vs. electric conundrum. It can integrate into a forced air system, uses substantially less energy than resistance heaters, plus you can keep the natural gas furnace for a super cold day where the heat pump can't keep up. If you're already adding a/c the additional cost to enable heat pump function is minimal.

I would love to see more about the effectiveness of the arc fault protectors.. We had a house fire in 2014 caused by a fault in the insulation inside of some 40 year old romex. A small bit of arcing finally melted all of the insulation and dropped flaming plastic onto the workbench below, igniting the bench, and eventually the whole basement. I'm told my new arc fault protectors would protect me from similar, but I'm wary, especially after seeing this video!

no I moved like 5 km!

Hehe, they left the biggest hole of all open!

Excellent!! Glad that you are in the new place. Man, I hate moving! Nice little tour. All the best to yourself, the wife, and ElectroCute! 😀

Yeah, I’m gonna miss the look of your regular background. Did you move from Canada to the US? Or are you still in Canada? Is that house your property now?

Dukefazon

I love how the entire new house tour was the electric panel.

Commenting as a Brit 🇬🇧 Mind that 240v it’ll have you on your arse!!!

Peter Begley

guess i should have watched the entire video before making that comment. yay 200 amp.

I know how hard moving in can be. I would post a comment here but then you'd just have to waste time reading it, so I won't.

Bill Kerr

That's the same room you found a short circuit? It was meant for you!

Tony B

hope he has a 200Amp main rather that just 100. needs more electo to Boom with.

Those doors are helpful for insulation. Outlets are a classic place for air to flow and bypass insulation.

Congratulations on the new house, can’t wait to see what kind of electrical shenanigans you can get up to with no neighbors on the other side of the walls.

Mike oliver

Audible as a sponsor? Whoa. Moving up in the world.

Congratulations on the new house Mehdi! Excited to see what kind of dangerous things you can do with 240 volt. Gonna miss the old studio though

What no HVAC systems in BC? Southern Ontario seems to be all HVAC compared to NB .. What will you do for AC?

Peter Stevens

So when are we all invited to the housewarming party??

Rocco Rizzo

Happy to hear that, Mehdi!! Good luck!!!

Congrats on the new house! Can’t wait to see its electrical facilities being blown to pieces 😄

What happened with the old one? Has it burned down due to a short circuit?
