I had the chance to go to one of our newest venues in Fountainebleau. With all the decorations and the beautiful airy casino, I had a lot of fun. Walked around for a bit soaking everything in and then had cocktails at Bleau Bar waiting for reservations at Mother Wolf. I had a whiskey sour with Knob Creek, lemon and egg whites because it seemed light and refreshing. It most certainly was.
Mother Wolf is an Italian restaurant and they have big shoes to fill in this town, but I have to say that I was simply delighted. The bread is amazing that starts you off and a glass of wine (I recommend getting help with this, as they source their own wines that you won't be aware of unless you ask) Then I had some short rib meatballs for an appetizer. I was very surprised how delicate and delicious they were. Honestly, I could have just had bread and the meatballs the rest of the night.
For the main course, it was a prime rib cap with crispy mash potatoes. In addition, there was a dish of liguine in lemon (just wow) That was some of the best pasta that I've had in this town. Needless to say there wasn't much room for dessert, but you know me. They had the cutest little homemade doughnuts with a white chocolate ice cream and it wasabsolutely delicious! And let me say that they definitely know how to make coffee, which went well with dessert.
