Today's whiskey is Elijah Craig Small Batch at 94 proof. This is an easy one for me. I can certainly taste the apple and cinnamon notes and honey...not so sure about the cookie dough. It doesn't overpower my taste buds and is a little lighter which means that I'll probably have two glasses. 😉 I do like this one very much! Thank you to a special patron for gifting this treat 💋

NOTES:

Elijah Craig has long been a favorite bourbon of many whiskey enthusiasts - to the point where their stocks of 12 year old bourbon have been under a lot of pressure. The producers made the decision to discontinue the 12 Year Old expression and create this expression to take its place. It manages to maintain the incredibly high quality that Elijah Craig is known for, including the delicious core of cooked apple drizzled in honey notes. This expression has been well received, taking home not one but two San Francisco World Spirits Competition Double Gold medals!

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose Honeycomb, fresh cedar, marmalade and some spicy cardamom seed.

Palate Baked apples with a dusting of cinnamon, followed by fresh honey and cookie dough.

Finish Lingering nutmeg and charred oak.
