Redemption ~ Whiskey Wednesday Edition

I had just the perfect whiskey for my outfit that was given to me by a very good friend. Redemption Bourbon finished in Cognac Casks. Since most of us have one or a few vices, can't we all use a little Redemption these days?!
This whiskey, technically is not a bourbon, since bourbon can only ever employ new charred oak. But Oak or Cognac, this was tasty. But please heed Sister Jordan's warning: it is HIGH PROOF and we can all see what happens with too much! ๐

NOSE
Blackberry taffy, oak, copper, corn meal, baking spice, leather, and some anise.Darkly sweet and slightly earthy, itโs a heavy aroma.
PALATE
Caramel corn, oak, blackberry taffy, copper, corn meal, baking spice, waxy vanilla and bits of leather.Keeps pace with the aroma well and delivers a nice experience as it rolls through the senses.
FINISH
Med-long -> Oak, blackberry taffy, dried fruit and leather fade slowly.
