This photo was taken in Munich, Germany on one of the very last days of my ski trip. It was very cold and this punch was hot and so very warming! Those of you who are familiar with Christmas Markets in Europe, I had no idea how wonderful they are. Why don't we have them in the States?! They sell all kinds of Christmas ornaments, gifts, drinks & food. It's wonderful to meander through them and look at all the magical Christmas items and delicious treats.
So, Gluhwein, a type of mulled wine from German-speaking countries made from red wine with cinnamon and other herbs and spices is typically served all throughout the Christmas markets in these darling little mugs. They also have other kinds of punches and that's what I am having here. This one is called a Crambambuli. It's a mix of red wine, vodka and yummy spices. You put a deposit down for the mug, if you want to keep it, they keep the deposit. They have all kinds of shapes and designs. You just want to keep drinking the warm drinks and collecting them π
Oh, I wish I was back there now! Cheers to a warm & toasty evening. π·
