Finally

Finally, it's Friday. I thought the weekend would never get here, although the smoke from the devastating California fires is putting a bit of damper on things. Just have to stay indoors and an excuse to do some shopping. After hearing some of your stories yesterday about the cars, it really made me want to take a road trip this weekend, but it will have to wait. I think a long weekend trip north to the mountains is in order this fall. I love it when the colors change and the air starts to get crisp. 

I do have a thing for cars and I guess I grew up a bit of a tomboy. I would always help my dad in the garage on the weekends, but actually I was probably more of a pain. I loved looking at all the parts in the engine and loved the thought of going fast. I can't say that I know a thing about engines, but I still love to go fast. 

I have so many memories of making out, but unless my date had a truck, most of the time it was a little awkward. Not many bench seats in my day. And even the back seats were too cramped, but where there's a will, there's a way. I'm a big kisser and I love kissing in the moonlight, looking out over the coast or a wide open field. There was a bit of danger element to it and oh how those windows would fog. I still love that. It is always the exploration of finding that new perfect spot and you know what a fan I am of classic movies. Those romantic car scenes get me every time. 

Today, it seems car makers are more worried about the cup holder, than me sliding close and being a bit of distraction as the car glides through the midnight air. I'll just have to keep my eyes on the lookout for that vintage car. 😉
