Beach time ๐
Added 2020-09-24 21:02:46 +0000 UTCI decided to take off to Oceanside in Southern California last week for an extra long beach weekend. A last hurrah to summer and needing a change of scenery were great excuses. It was just what I needed to recharge and rejuvenate after a few very hot months in Las Vegas! I love the ocean, surf and sand and I especially enjoyed falling asleep to the sound of the waves. The weather was perfect; 60's in the morning and mid 70s with a cool breeze during the day. The Pacific wasn't too cold, so I was able to swim and enjoy the waves. Sipping wine at sunset with these views was especially relaxing.
I took the first photo from my balcony and the second was taken from part of the grounds where I stayed. I saw the view, with those beautiful palm trees and sun coming down and it reminded me of "California Dreamin' " and I just had to stop to take the shot.

I think you might like the Margaret River area, great beaches, great food, a couple of distilleries making whisky and lots of vineyards to visit and wines to sample. Itโs also where the Indian Ocean meets the Southern Ocean and you look out to sea with nothing between you and Antarctica, if you get chance you should go, itโs beautiful.

2021-03-02 22:26:46 +0000 UTCI know the feeling. By August, I was having cabin fever. I like the beach and the week after Labor Day I drove to Myrtle Beach, SC for 8 days. Enjoyed being outside under the warm beautiful sun with gorgeous ocean.
