Do you think I would be a successful ambassador for Jameson? If you have any connections, please let me know 😉
Today's whiskey, Jameson Distiller's Safe, part of the Jameson Whiskey Makers series, honors Master Distiller Brian Nation. Matured in ex-bourbon casks, the character of the whiskey is allowed to shine through after 5-6 years.
This was a tough one for me! I don't think my palette is mature enough to taste the differences between today's pick and last week's Coopers Croze. If anyone has any experience with these two, I'd love to know your thoughts.
Nose: Floral sweetness, nutty and slightly herbal, fresh vanilla. Some toasty spices and and nice but of liquorice.
Palate: Ripe fruit notes develop on the palate. Mandarin, melon, citrus. Some spicy clove and nuttiness in tow.
Finish: Sugared almond, apricot and orange peel.
