With v0.2.2 out of the way, we have completed the first day of orientation and can continue to move ahead with the storyline.
I would like to take a moment to talk about transformation content in the game. As you know, at the moment the only transformative effect is the "Perfection" mod you receive for completing the survey. This is not much for a game where transformation is an important aspect of gameplay.
The main reason we have not yet added additional transformative content is because when we started working on Starwatch Academy, we did not expect to have an artist join us this early. Our expectation was to first have an appearance and clothing system that would use status images sourced from various sources (including real life... sources) like it is done in a lot of other games and later transition to a custom paperdoll system once we had an artist join us.
Flaxede's arrival pretty much changed how we laid out our plans for the game and instead of working on this temporary appearance system we have decided to start implementing the paperdoll right away with all that it implies, such as visible results of transformations, clothing items and layers, etc.
Needless to say this is no small task, but we highly believe this is beneficial for the game as we will not need to do a transition between a temporary and a final system.
