3DIO Mic issues

I've been having trouble with my 3DIO making crackling and popping sounds recently. This is the 2nd 3DIO microphone I've bought (it has lasted me two years though), and I'm so frustrated that it keeps doing it!
Do you have any binaural mic recommendations?
