Inside Man~ Episode 4 (Patreon Exclusive)

I HAVE NEVER BEEN MORE DISAPPOINTED WITH THE WAY A SHOW ENDED BEFORE!

In my opinion, Moffat is much too interested in being mysterious and clever to write emotionally satisfying stories. Like he's trying to be unpredictable and subvert expectations but it ends up just not resonating.

I definitely agree that the ending was unsatisfying. But the twist with the father-in-law's henchmen showing up was kinda interesting, I didn't see it coming. And when Mary entered the bathroom in Janice's flat I was shook, I really didn't see that coming either! On a rewatch it's kinda obvious, especially considering there was so little runtime left, but it didn't even cross my mind at the time. edit to add: // The ending, and this whole show really, was pretty typical of Steven Moffat. He makes shows like this were there's one character being oh-so-clever, with clever mysteries, which kinda fall flat after you think about them for longer than a minute, like the whole "Pay the therapist" thing in episode 1. ๐Ÿ˜… edit 2// Oh also, about the post-credit scene. They kinda hinted about Janice's marriage when she anwered "NO!" really quickly and kinda angrily to Ben when he asked in that one flashback scene if she was married. Which kind implies it was a sore spot, so maybe her husband was abusive or smth.

I hate to see you suffer. Here are some more positive projects of David's. Since you want David to be your dad, you might be interested in him in Single Father, a short series about a widower figuring out how to raise his kids without his wife. (ANGSTY parts with a happy ending) Also, a series called There She Goes, which started in 2018 and is still in production, about a neuro-atypical girl and her family. (haven't seen it, but it's a family show so I'm thinking overall positivity. ) David calls it the best work he's ever done. Through Digital Theatre, there is a version of much ado about nothing with David Tennant and Catherine Tate. I think you'd love it. hilarious!!!! Also, there's some tragedy near the end, but he's quite charming in the miniseries "Casanova". But, most of all... since you loved Good Omens.... What I think you'd REALLY LOVE is STAGED!!! A production on zoom with David, Michael Sheen and their partners (among others) during lockdown being excellent and having fun.
