I loved this episode just for how queer it was, it was beautiful. Izzy putting aside his masculinity to try drag and sing made Izzy one of my favorite character in the show. Con O'Neill has a beautiful voice and both the english and french version of him singing La Vie en Rose is on spotify!

But the fact that the show had everyone around being happily surprised felt like a balm on my soul. I'm not nearly eloquent enough to explain how much this scene means to us older queers but this show was game changer after game changer

2024-09-10 15:48:46 +0000 UTCCouple fun facts: Killing people by making them walk the plank wasn't actually a thing pirates generally did, but the historic stede bonnet was one of the few who did. (my theory being that he actually read it in a book and didn't realize it was fake) Whereas the actual blackbeard didn't have a kill record until the sea battle where he died. Once again, absolutely impossible to guess what is based on reality and what isn't... 🤣
