I'm enjoying these reactions. It does feel like you're not only unfamiliar with dnd or critical role also with the genre of epic fantasy as a whole. Which isn't a bad thing. J enjoy seeing someone who isn't trying to relate everything to a dnd game or lord of the rings watch the show. But hea there is a mot of lore that is mentioned in 1 of 2 lines that's easy to not digest, especially if you're not used to the tropes or concepts. Just want tk give kudos despite some frustration on your end.

The Calamity is basically an Apokalypse that LED to the gods setting themselve away from the mortal realm The woman is ana ripley, one of the Supports of those Noblesse who killed percys Patents and took over their fief Hope that helps

2024-06-23 18:17:14 +0000 UTCPurvan was the last champion of the Matron of Ravens, the goddess of death. He was mentioned in the last episode. The fight between Vax and Purvan was a test. Vax was supposed to accept death, and when he did, Purvan said "hail the new champion." Once the Matron of Ravens activated the vestige, Vax became her new champion, and you'll see what that means later in the season.

2024-06-22 14:43:30 +0000 UTCThe lady at the end is Anna Ripley from season 1, she helped the Briarwoods torture Percy and reconstruct the ziggeraut. Purvon was the champion of the Matron. Purvon was testing Vax in order to make Vax the new champion. The matron of ravens is the goddess of death. She neutral and not evil or good, she just sends souls where to go.
