This was the shit got real moment for this arc for sure. Vax nearly dying at the feast and them getting their asses kicked was more or less par for the course for them, but the Sun Tree moment really kicked them into a new gear. The moments like this are the ones that really help push D&D parties towards being the heroes instead of being mercenaries.
